HorsePlayers.com is the new official online qualifying site for the Breeders' Cup Betting Challenge (BCBC) and the National Horseplayers Championship (NHC). HorsePlayers.com replaces the sites formerly known as BCqualify.com and NHCqualify.com.
What will the launch of HorsePlayers.com mean for contest players?
HorsePlayers.com will regularly feature an array of qualifying contests and formats where players can win entries to the two richest, most prestigious handicapping contests in the world. Contest players playing on HorsePlayers.com will enjoy the benefits of a coordinated NHC and BCBC qualifying schedule, a low takeout structure, single site registration and seamless play in BCBC and NHC qualifiers on the same contest platform.
Why are Breeders' Cup and NTRA doing this?
The Breeders' Cup and the NTRA are two industry-owned non-profits that share a similar vision and core mission, which is to drive interest and participation in Thoroughbred racing and wagering. The two organizations believe that contests are an innovative vehicle to engage with existing customers and target new customers in a fun and exciting way, and in a way that has a strong connectivity to what is the essence of our sport-picking winners. We are committed to investing in these properties-through branding, advertising, promotion, contest enhancements and other ways to improve the experience for horseplayers, increase participation and ensure continued growth.
Will other organizations continue to offer BCBC and NHC seats in a manner similar to previous years?
Yes. The only real change to the schedule is that HorsePlayers.com has replaced BCqualify.com and NHCqualify.com as the official online qualifying platform. Nearly 50 organizations participate in qualifiers to the BCBC and/or NHC and we look forward to working with a wide range of organizations as we strive to grow the two premier handicapping contests in the world for the benefit of all involved.
Why is the new site called HorsePlayers.com?
The Breeders' Cup and NTRA started this process with a number of goals that focused primarily on how we could improve the contest experience and further capitalize on the popularity of the BCBC and NHC to grow interest and participation in Thoroughbred racing and wagering. Throughout this process, we've strived to consider and put the interests of the customer first. One consistent theme continued to emerge: it's all about the horseplayers. So, along with some other changes and improvements that we identified, we have put the "horseplayer" front and center, literally.
